As one of the most powerful offensive psions in recorded history, Dymar has the mixed blessing of being counted amongst the most respected and yet most feared individuals in K'Tri society. His whole demeanor is one of mystery and speculation, mainly due to the very limited information that exists regarding his past. In combination with his frightening psionic abilities, Dymar also possesses a very severe personality and appearance and because of this, very few can consider Dymar their friend.

The vast majority of those that can are members of the royal family, specifically Kenneth and Naiomi. There really is no love lost between Dymar and Kenneth's wife, and Miria often goes out of her way to curtail both her and her family's time with him. The exception to this is Naiomi, and to her, Dymar has been as much a father figure throughout her life as Kenneth has been.

Dymar's past is a topic of much debate. His appearance is distinctly Nosferatus, as is his no-nonsense demeanor. However, the Nosferatus Clan refuses to share information with non-clan members, and Dymar himself isn't one to supply information. What is known however is that he often times functions as a type of psionic executioner, travelling amongst the K'Tri clans who need his assistance in stripping the abilities of convicted psionic felons. Dymar is often called only as a last resort, as his fees are exorbitant as well as his methods dangerous and sometimes inhumane. He shows very little compassion towards those he practices his trade on, often leaving them little more than husks.

After performing this task on Thaddeus Sorrowsong, Dymar was asked by Kenneth Ferrall to stay and help teach the young Naiomi Windrider to control her abilities. Sensing the formidable power in her, Dymar agreed, and with the extremely tentative agreement of the King, he has remained within the Atalyan clan since.
